Big news today for Mattson Financial Services! These two (wife and husband) are joining our financial firm this August. 

After (both) graduating from SMU, Carlyn Mattson Davis has worked for Plains Capital Bank for the past three years in Dallas; Spencer Davis has worked for Fischer (a Real Estate Services firm in North Dallas). 

Mattson Financial Services has been growing with a need to expand, so we asked them to come back home to Waco. They said, “YES.” Such a great day! 

They look forward to building new relationships, and helping serve our clients in the coming days.

Festival on the Brazos Ambassador 2024, Blake Mattson

Blake Christian Mattson will serve as Ambassador at the 54th annual Festival on the Brazos set for Friday, April 26, 2024, at University High School’s Performing Arts Center. A lifelong Wacoan, who is all about family and community, Mattson looks forward to representing his city throughout the festival weekend.

“I am so excited to share with others what this city means to me and my family,” Mattson said. “The Festival on the Brazos is a celebration of so much that is good about this town, and I hope to honor it by representing the Festival as this year’s Ambassador.”

Mattson Financial Services Wins Texas Family Business of the Year, Fastest Growing Award

The Institute for Family Business each year honors outstanding Texas family businesses with the Texas Family Business of the Year Awards Program.

Dr. William J. Worthington is director of the Institute for Family Business at Baylor. He teaches classes on family business and explores the dynamics at work in their success and continuity.

“We have this amazingly successful program that’s not well-known or even tagged well with the Baylor brand,” Worthington said. “Right here in Waco are tons of family-owned businesses that haven’t heard of us, and we really need to change that.”

The Texas Family Business of the Year Awards Program recognizes multi-generational, family-owned firms whose families demonstrate a commitment to each other, to their employees, to the community and to business continuity.
